Q. What does the Immigration Department do?
Jackson & Canter's immigration department deals with all aspects of UK Immigration Law. Our team of immigration experts will look into your case to see if you are entitled to stay in the UK.

Q. How will the Immigration Department help me?
First of all we give you peace of mind. Once we have sat down to talk, we will try to give you the best advice possible to help your case. We will help you complete and prepare any relevant forms. We will help you collate any evidence you need to support your application. Once we have submitted your application we will liaise with the relevant authorities so your application can be closely monitored. Naturally, we will keep you informed every step of the way.
Q. What should I bring with me to the first appointment?
Please bring all immigration documents and any other documents you feel are relevant. Also bring proof of any income or financial support you are getting.
Q. How much will it cost me?
If you qualify for Legal Aid we may be able to help you free of charge. When we first meet with you we will determine if you qualify or not. If you do, you need to provide evidence of any income or financial support you are getting. If you do not qualify, we will tell you how much we expect your case to cost and ask you to provide an initial payment of about £200. We will do our best to keep costs as low as possible. We accept cash and cheques, or if it is easier for you, you can pay by debit or credit card.
Q. What if English is not my first language?
We can provide an interpreter for most languages. Please tell us that you need this service when you first contact us.
Q. What if I have hearing difficulties?
We can arrange for a sign language interpretor to help. Please give us plenty of notice to arrange for this service.
Q. Where can I come and see you?
Our immigration department is based in Church Street, Liverpool city centre. Our office is fully accessible if you have any mobility difficulties.
