OVER 40 YEARS DEALING WITH PERSONAL INJURY CLAIMS

Accidents can happen at anytime. In fact, they usually happen when you are least expecting them. The good news is that Jackson & Canter has an experienced legal team to help you if you have a claim.

We offer a quality service from start to finish. In fact, we have been helping clients claim compensation for personal injury for over 40 years and are proud to be members of the Association of Personal Injury Lawyers, accredited by the Law Society.

Q. What does the Personal Injury department do?

First of all we treat your problems as if they were our own. If you have had an accident in the last three years at work, on the road or in the street, that was not your fault, we can help you claim financial compensation.

Q. What can I claim compensation for?

The areas you can claim compensation for include:

  • Pain and Injury
  • Loss of Earnings
  • Expenses
  • Vehicle hire and/or repair

Q. How does it work?

First of all we quickly assess your claim and tell you if you have a case. If we do not think our Personal Injury department can help, we can suggest you speak to one of our other departments. For example, in matters connected with welfare benefits, housing and community care

Q. Will it cost me anything?

No. Your fees will be covered if you have legal expenses insurance or are insured for legal representation through a trades union or similar organisation. If this is not the case we will deal with your claim on a 'No Win No Fee' basis. We will be happy to discuss this at our first meeting. Remember, we work for you. We are totally independent and have no ties with insurers or claims management companies.

Q. How much will I get?

We make sure you get 100% of your compensation. Your legal fees will be paid by the organisation that pays your compensation.

Q. How long will it take?

It usually takes at least six months to complete a claim, although this may vary if you have recovered from your injuries.

Q. Will I have to go to court?

Probably not. In 95% of cases nyou will not need to go to court. You will only need to attend if any liability is in dispute or we cannot agree the value of your claim.

Q. Do I have to use my insurer's solicitors?

No. You can use any solicitor you wish.

Q. What if English is not my first language?

We can provide an interpreter for most languages. Please tell us that you need this service when you first contact us.

Q. What if I have hearing difficulties?

We can arrange for a sign language interpretor to help. Please give us plenty of notice to arrange for this service.

Q. Where can I come and see you?

Our Personal Injury department is based at the Church Street office, Liverpool city centre. It is fully accessible if you have any mobility difficulties. You can also visit our Toxteth office by prior arrangement. If it is more convenient, we can visit you at home.

Q. Who is in the department?

Graham Cunliffe (Partner & Head of Department); Stephanie Jones (Legal Executive); and Richard Airey (Legal Executive).
